Lose Weight by Breaking Cravings First

If you feel cravings time to time for certain food you are not alone it happens to everyone. Although some people suffer more then others and there is a specific reason for that. If you think that your craving is the result of that huge billboard you passing on your way to work every day or your co-worker starts eat early and gets your attention all the time – it’s far away from truth.
In fact your body is predisposition to accept external “food signals” due to stress, depression, exhaustion and so on. This slight chemical misbalance in your body can make your life difficult craving for food especially if your craving is toward sugar. It’s like a vicious cycle: you get upset, want chocolate or chips, eat them fast, feel guilt or stomach ache, feel bad that you don’t have will power, get more craving, comfort yourself with more chocolate. Then it’s when you realize you put on some extra pounds, you can’t stand yourself in the bathing suit and you decide to lose weight or eat more food you have huge craving for.

A low blood sugar condition can be one of the reason we have cravings for sugar or in many cases for carbohydrates. It happens when we are tired, feel sad or unhappy. Our Serotonin level (a hormone that makes us happy) goes down and our brain gets signal it’s time to do something about it to get back on track. So that’s the reason for sweet cravings. Now knowing that next time when you feel cravings for sugar do something that puts you in a good mood besides food. It can be just calling a good friend, or watching your favorite comedy movie if it does not involve a bucket of popcorn, or simply putting on an upbeat piece of music and go jogging in the park. Learn to recognize your craving and act to satisfy your body in different way. This is the rule that help you to stay fit so you don’t have to lose weight later.
Here is another reason for craving. It’s called Adrenal Fatigue. It happens to us when we get stressed, or we are lacking sleep or just feel exhausted for no specific reason. It is a common health problem nowadays but rarely recognized as such. With cravings caused by adrenal fatigue you also may want coffee, alcohol or carbohydrates. A good restful night sleep may resolve your problem more effectively then keg of beer, just remember that. 
To break food carving your body requires a healthy food and a balance in everything you do. If you staying too long on a low carb diet chances are you will experience food cravings. With healthy life style you get a healthy fit body that less likely has cravings. Moderation and variety is a key to a balanced healthy life.
