Weight Loss After Baby Success Story

I would like to share my story on losing weight after baby. When I found out I was pregnant with my second baby I was already 15 pounds heavier from what I should. Also I used to work 9 to 5 office job using pregnancy as an excuse to have constant breaks and eat whatever I wanted.  What I was thinking! By the end of my pregnancy I managed to gain 65 pounds.  It was a lot of weight for a girl that is 5’3”.  I had to lose weight.

Here is how I did it.

Setting Another Due Date

My baby was born in January this year and I had set a goal to lose weight by June. I put up a picture of myself wearing bikini during summer months when I was at my perfect weight. Then I calculated how many pounds I had to drop every month. In my case it was 10 lbs per month.

Weight loss Education

Next I start going through tons of information on weight loss so I could pick the diet or exercises that was both very effective and fit me the most. I began making notes and printing out different programs and diets. It resulted in piles of useful information but so disorganized that it was quite a challenge to find the right stuff at once.  At that moment I’ve decided to launch a website on weight loss where I can systemize all the information and publish my own remarks and report on my progress.

Motivation and Faith

I had no doubts I lose weight so I picked the name for my website proven weight loss. I was very excited working on my website and it kept me motivated to lose weight till the end.

Pick the right Diet

My diet was simple – I had to obey the following rules: (many of them I follow now)

  • Plenty of vegetables of all kinds excluding potatoes, corn or any other starchy vegetables.
  • Fruits and berries for snacks.
  • Lean protein.
  • Small portions or snacks every two hours
  • Drink 5-8 glasses of water
  • No food after 7 pm.

Exercise

To raise my physical activity I go for walks with my baby in a stroller every day twice a day. It even helps her to sleep longer and allows me to exercise. On rainy days I go to the gym early in the morning before my husband takes off for work and do cardio for 45 minutes and then work with weights for about 20 minutes.

Celebrating Weight loss Success

I have achieved my goal by the end of June!!!  So many people who knew I had a baby just a few months ago are saying many nice things about my weight loss. And it definitely pleases my ear. I think the key to my weight loss was my enormous determination to lose weight.
