However I am still keeping up with my gym schedule plus I go for a walk with my baby in the jogging stroller regularly. It’s the best time of the day for both of us – she sleeps and I walk and listen to my audio books for a change. Unfortunately I can’t jog yet, I guess, because baby is 4 month old, not able to sit unassisted. I am very glad to say I am almost back to my pre-pregnancy weight!
]]>First of all it’s easy to make and it’s great alternative to “I don’t know what to have for breakfast” meal. When I am in a hurry it works too.
Second of all it’s very tasty. I stocked my fridge with frozen raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, tropical fruits, plus I always have fresh bananas for great variety of awesome shakes. I think I eat healthier then before with all those fruits and berries.
Thirdly, starting off your morning right is very imperative. In the morning I prefer to eat complex carbohydrates and fiber. We need fiber in our diet because it cleans out our body from waste. Fiber is an important part of any healthy diet.
My recipe for a morning shake:
½ or third of banana
¼ of raw oats
½ cup of raspberries (great source of fiber)
1 cup of milk or water
1 scoop of slim fast (You can easily replace Slim Fast with yogurt.)
Mix everything very thoroughly in blender. Enjoy
I also have one fiber plus Eggo wheat waffle, of course without syrup. Also I have small cup of coffer. When I say small it’s not your Tim Horton’s small it’s halve of the regular cup.
My friend, Tiffany, gained weight on Slim Fast and it’s not a joke. She said Slim Fast made her hungry and she ate more things with Slim Fast then before she went on a diet. I see easily how you can gain weight with Slim Fast. It’s tasty, it has 20 gr. of sugar in it, you can drink easily two cups, also psychologically you think you deprive yourself food and you want to eat even more. Maybe you cut back calories but you are not exercising which resulted in your body starts the process of storing fat in anticipation of future starvation. That’s the reason why fast weight loss is not effective.

My friend Tiffany has mentioned to me that she wanted to lose some weight and needed me to motivate her to do that. I offered her to come to the gym together twice a week for a start. She agreed, paid her fees and even went to yogalates, a program that combines Yoga and Pilates. She said she liked it. So I figured we need 2 – 3 month and she would be happy with her weight loss results. We even had exercised once together. I thought it went pretty good. After that I merely saw her at the gym and she failed to keep up with our previously discussed schedule. I wanted to know what went wrong.
First of all, it was difficult for Tiffany to get up early since she likes to stay up late. Second of all her motivation despaired almost right away and she tried to talk herself into “I like the way I look” stuff. It all resulted in her withdrawing from fitness club even before she really started. Very sad, I lost my fitness buddy.
